Task Bar Not Working in Windows 10 – There are many users who use Windows Operating System on their System. Different users use different versions of Operating Systems but many of users face some common issues related to the Windows System UI components. These kinds of issues make the user unsatisfied and give the bad experience. How to Fix Windows 10 Taskbar Not Working

Method 1: – Check for Bad Explorer Add-ons

Make sure you Boost your Windows 10 Operating system in the Clean Boot State and then check for the bugs or error by trial and error method. Either of the File Explorer add-ons may interfere with explorer.exe not to function properly. If you find any if the addons then remove or disable it.

Method 2: – Restart Windows Explorer

You can use this method if your Task Bar is not working properly and in a critical position. Change the settings as mentioned below.

  1. Open Run and then type taskmgr.exe and then click enter to open the Task Manager.
  2. Click on Process Tab and scroll down to Windows Explorer. Click on it and then you can see a Restart button at the right bottom of the window. Click on Restart.

This process clears all the Issues related to the Task Manager and then you can start using it without any issues.

Method 3: – Re-registering the Taskbar

Even if you face the same issue after using the above two solutions then fix it using Windows Powershell. Windows Powershell is a tool which helps you to configure the system settings and then updates the windows tasks automatically.

  1. Enter powershell in the Run command and then right click on the Windows PowerShell Application and then select Run as Administrator. Now select UAC window that pops up.
  2. Enter the code or paste the code mentioned below in the PowerShell.

Get -AppXPackage – AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage – DisableDevelopmentMode – Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}

  • As you enter the command then click on enter and execute successfully.
  • Now navigate to C:/Users/name/AppData/Local/ and then right-click on TileDataLayer to delete this folder.
  • If you are unable to delete this folder then go to services.msc in the Service Manager and then navigate to Tile Data Model Server and stop the service and then delete the folder.
